New
venues for World Poker Tour |
Changes have been
made to the schedule for next season's World Poker Tour
(WPT), it has been announced. A total of three new events
have been added to the WPT's season V calendar and other
dates have changed.

Series Of Poker Kicks Off |
The mother of all
poker tournaments kicked off in Las Vegas on Sunday. The
World Series of Poker began with a two-day Tournament
of Champions featuring 27 elite players. In all, more
than 20-thousand people are expected to play in the World
Series, which wraps up on August 10th.

you're watching an edited-down poker show. You're not

State Law Change Makes Online Poker Players Felons |
Starting June 7,
playing poker online in the state of Washington is a Class
C felony. Players can be fined $10,000 or sentenced to
up to five years in prison, or both, thanks to a new law
that is designed to curb online gambling in the state.
