HEADLINE: Suspicious Activity Between US Officials & Poker Pro Jason Newit
Body:
Rumors are flying around that a subpoena was issued by US justice courts for poker pro Jason “JDN” Newitt. There is a tremulous history between Mr. Newitt and Full Tilt poker, his employer as of last year when he was let go over some embarrassing incidents that ended up with litigation being launched in Nevada at Full Tilt Poker by Newitt for unfair and wrongful termination.
Now, a year later justice officials have subpoenaed the poker pro to appear in court where New York’s Southern District is dealing with their anti online gambling actions. Did Mr. Newitt turn informant against companies he worked for during his time in the online gaming business? Companies such as Full Tilt, Tiltware, Pocket Kings Consulting and Howard Lederer and Raymond Bitar are all defendants in the case that Newitt launched which charged that he was unfairly fired and his distribution payments and ownership control was taken away from him.
What does all this mean, and why is it of importance to the online gambling laws in the US is to be seen, but with so many interested officials in this ongoing case being closed mouth and rumors running rampant, we will be sure to stay on top of this story as it unfolds. Does online gambling have a potential “rat” working for the New York justice department and how will this affect online gaming laws? Stay Tuned
