HEADLINE: HeadsUp Entertainment to Finalize Plans for Largest Poker Tournament Series in Canadian History

(PINK SHEETS: HDUP) is pleased to announce that its brand, the Canadian Poker Tour, Canada's leading poker organization, is finalizing plans to host the country's largest poker tournament series. This years Canadian Open Poker Championships will build off its successes since the inaugural event in 2006 and again feature its world renowned heads up main event.

Steady growth and demand have led event organizers to propose a schedule that could offer as many as 18 events over an 11 day period in the third quarter of this year. With multiple cities vying to host the Canadian Open, the Company anticipates having all regulatory approvals, sponsorship partnership agreements and final contracts in place very soon.

As one of the Company's proprietary events, the tournament series looks to be a major profit centre for HeadsUp with new sponsorship agreements, merchandise offerings and innovative event coverage through the Company's recently launched Canadian Poker Player Television Network.

Having attracted international poker pros and celebrities such as Phil Hellmuth, Joe Hachem, Gavin Smith, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly in past years, management believes that this years schedule will attract a field of pros and amateur players many times larger than 2009's total of 758 entrants. It is estimated that prize pools will exceed those ever seen in the Canadian marketplace in the past.

Management believes that with over 3.5 million estimated poker players in Canada and an estimated 40 million total poker players in North America, this event will set a new benchmark in the poker world and advance the Company's business plan and growth objectives to continue to create shareholder value.
