HEADLINE: Casinos Offer Poker Players Special Rates

This summer, Las Vegas will be with poker players from all corners of the world looking to play poker, and unless they have a friend’s couch to bum on, they will need a place to stay. Luckily, many casinos are prepared to accommodate poker players by offering room discounts for playing in their facilities.

The Rio, home of this year’s World Series of Poker, offers lowered rates to those who play in any of the events. Most casinos book players for the normal room rates and discount them at a later time. However, the Rio gives a pre-entry rate of $139 during the week $279 on the weekend. A second discount is given after a receipt from one of the events is provided, dropping the prices to $109 during the week and $199 on the weekend.

Apart from the obvious attraction of the WSOP this summer is the newly named World Poker Tour event the Bellagio Cup III, which set to take place from June 11 to July 15. The Bellagio is offering rates to its tournament players. The poker rate often varies, but during the $10,000 main event, players can stay for $149 during the week and $219 on the weekend with proof of event entry.

The other tournament series going on this summer in Las Vegas is the Venetian’s Deep Stack Extravaganza that runs from June 1 to July 1 and offers a number of lower-buy-in tournaments with generous blind structures. From June 1 to July 17, rooms at the Venetian will cost $119 from Sunday to Thursday and $189 on Saturday and Sunday for players who log six hours of cash game play per day or have bought an entry into one of the events.

Caesars Palace may not be hosting a tournament series but is offering discounts to players, nonetheless. For any standard hotel room that is $400 or less, they will knock the price down to $139 from Sunday to Thursday and $229 on Saturday and Sunday for eight hours of play per day in the live cash games.

These room rates are all subject to change and rely heavily on room availability.
