HEADLINE: Station debuts poker show
Body:
KFKA Radio 1310 AM will launch a new, radio program serving the
Front Range beginning Saturday.
"The Wholecard," which will provide a large, poker-savvy
northern Colorado market with a source for all the latest information
related to poker, and specifically Texas Hold 'Em, will air at
8 p.m.
The program taps into a large, Front Range poker
playing population, including those who participated in KFKA's
Texas
Hold 'Em Tournament at the Greeley Independence Stampede.
The new show will be hosted by Daryl Fox and Dave Loftis. Fox
comes to the show with substantial experience playing Texas Hold
'Em, from home games with his extended family, to casino events
and free league tournaments. He also founded and managed free
tournament hosting companies, including both No Limit Poker Association
and Poker Tour of the Rockies.
Loftis brings a journalism background to the show and will help
with the content and development of interviews with some of today's
hottest poker players
and poker destinations.
In addition to the weekly broadcast, the program will provide
listeners with a companion Web site through which visitors can
get information about program topics, poker news, and the ability
to interactively communicate with other site visitors and poker
players.
