World Poker Tour Championship: Down to 19 players entering Sunday
Body:
After 5 grueling levels of play, we are down to the final 19 players.
Play will resume at 12 PM PDT Sunday.
Bluff Magazine has been providing live updates from the World
Poker Tour Championship, taking place at the Bellagio Hotel in
Las Vegas.
Three more players with substantial payout odds
to win have been eliminated from last night's play. They included
Ross Boatman (who would have paid 26 to 1) and Matt Lefkowitz
at 21.5 to 1 odds. Freddy Deeb was also sent home (listed with
12.5 to 1 odds at Pinnacle Sports entering this big event).
Coming into Sunday and representing Miami, Florida, Vanessa Rousso
came in with approximately 880K in her stack. She came over the
top of Patrik Antonius' raise and he made the call. He showed
A-K, and Rousso turned over T-T. Antonius caught no help and Rousso
stacked up near 2M. Rousso was also featured last week on "Calvin
Ayre's Wild Card Poker".
After coming into the day with a huge chip stack, Patrik Antonius
continued his sharp play throughout most of the day. Then he lost
a 2.8M pot to James Van Alstyne when his Q-Q were cracked by K-T,
taking him down to 1.6M. Since then he has dropped a few more
pots, including the A-K v. T-T hand against Vanessa Rousso, and
he now finds himself between a rock and a hard place. He certainly
has the talent to pull off an amazing comeback, but with the blinds
and antes this high it will be a tough challenge.

James Van Alstyne was listed with payout odds of 20 to 1 at Pinnacle
Sports entering the World Poker Tour Championship.
Meanwhile, Carlos Zambrano has been on a tear today - his chips
are stacked fifty high and two rows deep. He just took out Luis
Pires when his 6-6 held up against Pires' Q-5. Pires took home
$87,875 for his 22nd place finish.
