Tilt Poker’s Allen Cunningham Finishes in the Money
at Foxwoods World Poker Finals
Body:
Cunningham collects $483,000 for his fourth-place finish and brings
yearly winnings to more than $1.6 million.
Full Tilt Poker’s Allen Cunningham continued his strong
play in 2005, finishing fourth at last week’s Foxwoods World
Poker Finals. Cunningham earned $483,000 for his performance,
bringing his total 2005 winnings to more than $1.6 Million.
Foxwoods marks the twelfth time Cunningham has finished in the
money in 2005, and the eighth time he has made it to the final
table in a major tournament. Included in his 2005 performances,
Cunningham scored victories at the Ultimate Poker Challenge’s
$3,000 Buy-In No-Limit
Hold ‘em tournament, and at the World Series of Poker’s
$1,500 Buy-In No-Limit Hold ‘em event where he earned more
than $725,000 and his third WSOP bracelet. That victory, combined
with his four other money finishes at the 2005 World Series of
Poker, made Cunningham the first player ever to win $1 Million
prior to the start of the Main Event and helped him become the
2005 ESPN / Toyota Player of the Year.
“Allen’s unassuming style has always created a big
gap between his skill and other peoples’ recognition of
that skill,” said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.
“2005 will be the year that gap disappears.”
Cunningham represents one of the fastest growing online poker
