HEADLINE: NOVICE WINS A FAIR DEAL
BODY:
AN Irish scaffolder bluffed his way
to a Pounds 21,000 fortune in an online
poker game.
The 31 year old from Co Laois, who goes under
the pseudonym Zxnm, saw off 600 rivals with just a pair of tens.
As well as the cash, he also won a trip for
two to the Melbourne Cup in Australia next month.
The mystery man has only been playing the
game for a year yet still came up trumps.
He could have been forgiven for believing
winning would just have been wistful thinking.
But he said: "If the cards fall right
then anyone can win it."
He won the cash in Betfair's first online
poker tournament
after nabbing a place through a qualifier.
