HEADLINE: Zynga Poker Donates To Victims Of Japan Crisis

The 18th annual South By Southwest Interactive Festival is taking place March 11th through 20th in Texas featuring the latest in web innovation and creative technology.
A featured delegate this week is the social network online gambling company, Zynga, there to promote its first poker tournament in Las Vegas starting March 16th which will allow online poker players to play in a live environment and also to present Rewardville.com, a new rewards program for millions of players to its game titles.
Zynga based in San Francisco, California, is the brainchild of Mark Pincus with the company named after his beloved late bulldog. Represented by the bulldog as its symbol of tenacity, Zynga is the power behind such popular online gambling games as Zynga Poker and Farmville and operates with social networking websites Facebook and MySpace.
The company’s slogan is "Connecting the world through games" and with over 180 million players per month, the company has raised millions of dollars through its online games to benefit Haitian earthquake victims since 2009.
Zynga officials enthusiastically announced this week at SXSW that through its online games, Facebook players took only 36 hours to raise $1 million for Japanese earthquake victims. Zynga in partnership with Save the Children is asking players to donate to the Japanese relief efforts by buying virtual goods on its game sites.
