HEADLINE: Team Bodog Poker Player Making a Name
For Himself at 2007 WSOP
Body:
Team Bodog
poker player Yuval Bronshtein is making a name for himself
heading into Day 2 of the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold'em event today
at the 2007 World Series of Poker.
Team Bodog
poker player Yuval Bronshtein, who is in desperate need of
a nickname, is heading into Day of the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold'em
event stacked third overall in chips out of 45 remaining players.
He qualified for the 2006 Main Event through Bodog.com last year
and came back this year and is playing for Team Bodog
in several preliminary events. He has already reached the money
in this event and is guaranteed at least $5,560, although with
a monster chip stack he probably expects to walk with considerably
more than that.
It was quite an eventful first day of the tournament for the
Dunwoody, GA, resident as he found himself in the mix with some
of poker's biggest names. To start the day he found himself sitting
down next to bona fide poker hottie Shannon Elizabeth and getting
his picture unintentionally taken quite a bit. In fact, we may
have been the only people out there with a camera pointed at Yuval
and getting Shannon in the background, instead of vice versa (although
having an excuse to take her picture is one of the perks of the
job). Later in the day, he found himself at a table with 2005
WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Hachem, who he busted out of the
tournament, helping him build his chip stack to where it is at
the moment.
Today should be no less interesting for Yuval, whose biggest
live tournament win to date was 26th at a WSOP Circuit event in
Tunica, as he faces a field that includes Travis Rice, TJ Cloutier
and Daniel Alaei. He is just under 40k in chips out of first place,
held by James Henson (Animal like poker), and about 70k above
the average chip stack.
We'll keep you posted on Yuval's progress as he makes his way
through the field, so stay tuned here for more live coverage of
the 2007 World Series of Poker.
