Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot up to More than $490,000
Body:
Imagine starting with pocket eights and hitting quads but losing
the pot. It sounds heartbreaking. Then, imagine realizing that
it happened at a designated Bad Beat Jackpot table on Absolute
Poker. Now it does not sound so bad. At the time of the publication
of this article, Absolute
Poker’s Bad Beat Jackpot is just over $490,000 and is
expected to exceed $500,000 late today
Players must lose with quad eights or better, use both cards
in their hand, and have it happen at a special Bad Beat Jackpot
table. The jackpot is the largest in the site’s history.
It was generated by accumulating 50¢ from the pot of each
raked hand that is raked 25¢ or more. The player who loses
the pot will receive the biggest majority of the prize and everyone
at the table will also be given a piece of the jackpot.
Absolute
Poker has already given out more than $1.4 million in jackpot
money. The last player to benefit from the Bad Beat Jackpot was
ASYSTROB, who was rewarded more than $54,000 for losing with his
quad aces to a royal flush earlier this month.
