HEADLINE: World Series of Poker: Brunson and
Hellmuth out early
Body:
Maybe it was that outrageous toast the other night. Whatever it
was, the World Series of Poker witnessed an early exit of two
legendary poker pros, Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth on Day 2.
Poker
News reports Doyle Brunson, 10-time WSOP bracelet winner and
widely regarded as the best poker player in modern history has
just lost a huge pot. He's left short-stacked with less than 3000
chips deep into level 3, with 50/100 blinds. A player bet, another
raised all-in, Brunson went all-in, and the original raiser folded.
Brunson had the original raiser covered, so he should have received
a large portion of his chips back. Unfortunately, the last dealer
miscalculated and shorted Brunson on his chips.
Hellmuth had been eliminated just prior to Brunson.
Doyles Room offers poker players a chance to play against the
man online. And based on his WSOP performance, you might actually
stand a chance.
